• Share with the group what you worry about most and why.

DISCUSSION:

1. Consider and discuss the questions:

  • Do you generally spend more time reflecting on the past or anticipating the future? Explain.
  • Do you generally remember the past with gratitude or regret? Explain.
  • Do you generally remember the past with gratitude or regret? Explain.
  • In your inner world (your mind), do you generally have peace or anxiety?
  • How are you doing engaging the outer world (the people you encounter) with love?Pastor Bryan said you should live in the center of the cross (above), and you can only meet God in this moment called ‘now.’ How well are you doing when it comes to inviting God into each and every moment of your days and how might you improve this habit?

2. Read Matthew 6:25-32

  • What does Jesus teach about our daily needs of food, drink, and clothing?
  • Why does Jesus tell us not to worry about our basic needs?

3. Read Matthew 6:33-34

  • What does it mean to seek first God’s kingdom and righteousness?
  • How are Jesus’ instructions to not worry about tomorrow helpful to deal with the trouble of the present day?

4. Read Luke 12:6-7.

  • What does Jesus say about how much you are worth to God and why you shouldn’t be afraid?

5. Read Philippians 4:19, Psalm 27:1, Psalm 23:1-6, Romans 8:38-39.

  • What do you learn from these passages of Scripture?

APPLICATION:
