In support of our church purpose, "reaching people with the life changing reality of Jesus Christ", the Missions Ministry exists to develop a missional mindset in our people. The vision is that every man, woman, and child attending our church would have the opportunity to experience missional activities and to fully develop their personal missions ministry.
One of the ways in which we do this by the offering of our short term Mexico mission trips a couple times a year. This is an interactive, inexpensive and accessible mission opportunity that allows members to take a next step in their spiritual journey. We have a long and ongoing relationship with the people in Piedras Negras, Mexico and have been amazed to see God work over the years.
The 3 major components of each trip are:
- Opportunity for every participant to share the saving message of the Gospel
- Discipleship training moment
- Opportunity to directly serve people in need
Next Trip: "Vaya con dios" July 24-29, 2018
MEXICO MISSIONS IS MULTIPLYING and EXPANDING IN 2018!
This year we will host backyard Bible Clubs, Prison Ministry, Women's Ministry and orphan care in BOTH Piedras Negras, Mexico, and Juchitán de Zaragoza, Mexico simultaneously.
What does this mean for you?
Mexico 1.0 - Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico
We'll need all hands on deck and every ministry skill available. We are raising up more leaders for Piedras Negras who will share the Gospel, bring hope to the Women's Prison and work with the poor in this area. If you can be a leader on a team and help to plan, prepare and execute in Piedras...WE NEED YOU!
Mexico 2.0 - Juchitán de Zaragoza, Oaxaca, Mexico
If you are experienced in Mexico Missions, have a passport, are over the age of 16 and ready to go serve 10 1/2 hours south of Mexico City - WE NEED YOU TOO! This mission trip will cost about $600 and include flights to a nearby airport. We have worked out the details on lodging and transportation, so please pray about your calling to join us here. Juchitan is the epicenter of the 8.6 earthquakes leaving a town destructed with over 40,000 homes gone. This is an amazing opportunity to take our mission work to the next level. If you have any questions please feel free to contact our Mexico Mission Coordinators, Jackie & Joel Holcomb (firstname.lastname@example.org).
